Our Purpose: At Gardyn, we’re on a mission to make fresh, healthy food accessible to every home. We believe growing food should be simple, sustainable, and joyful and we’re building smart indoor gardening technology that helps people eat better while using fewer natural resources. We’re a fast-growing, mission-driven company that cares deeply about impact, innovation, and how we show up for one another. Our work is rooted in curiosity, ownership, and thoughtful growth and we’re excited to bring on leaders who want to help scale something meaningful. The Opportunity: As Director of Lifecycle Marketing, you will be responsible for driving customer engagement, retention, and lifetime value through personalized marketing initiatives across multiple channels - including email, SMS, push notifications, and direct mail. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and optimize lifecycle marketing programs that resonate with our customers at every stage of their journey. Reporting to the CMO, you'll bring both strategic thinking and hands-on execution to CRM strategy, multi-channel campaigns, content planning, and our referral program. If you love building data-driven lifecycle programs, are energized by the combination of creative and analytics, and want to make a meaningful impact at a fast-growing subscription brand, we'd love to meet you. What You’ll Do: Lifecycle marketing & CRM- Develop and execute a comprehensive CRM and lifecycle marketing strategy using consumer and customer research that drives engagement, retention, subscription growth, and revenue — hitting monthly and quarterly targets. Work closely with Customer Experience to align on customer journeys and continuously design improvements that reduce friction and build loyalty. Coordinate with CX on campaigns that drive customer retention and increase lifetime value. Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of multi-channel marketing campaigns — including email, SMS, push notifications, and direct mail — to effectively nurture and convert prospects. Lead the referral program and initiatives that activate customer advocates for acquisition.Campaigns, content & creative- Develop creative briefs that inspire the creative team to deliver compelling concepts across multiple channels. Partner with the creative and content team to develop messaging that aligns with brand values and resonates with different customer segments. Develop and oversee the full-funnel customer journey for prospects — from first touch through onboarding. Create and manage a busy content and editorial calendar, covering campaign themes, promotions, events, product launches, and customer communications across devices, accessories, plants, and digital channels. Lead A/B testing and experimentation to identify best practices and drive new customer conversion.Data, analytics & systems- Collaborate with analytics, product, and technology teams to refine and implement strategies using customer segmentation models — ensuring accurate targeting and relevancy across all communications. Oversee the management and optimization of the CRM platform, ensuring seamless integration with marketing and data systems. Monitor and analyze the performance of lifecycle programs, using data-driven insights to continuously improve campaign effectiveness and customer outcomes. Report on key performance metrics to senior leadership, providing actionable insights and recommendations to drive business growth. What We’re Looking For Experience & skills- You have 10+ years of experience in lifecycle marketing, CRM, or retention marketing, with a track record of driving engagement and revenue. You have deep expertise in multi-channel marketing, including email, SMS, push, in-app messaging, and direct mail. You have hands-on experience with modern CRM platforms (e.g., Iterable, Klaviyo) and marketing automation tools. You have a strong understanding of customer segmentation, targeting, and personalization techniques. You have the ability to translate customer insights into journey improvements that address real customer pain points. You have excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment. You have a strong foundational knowledge of content management and editorial planning. You have knowledge of data privacy regulations and best practices in email marketing and customer communications. You have experience in the e-commerce, retail, or subscription-based industry — highly desirable. You have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership. You have experience leading high-performing marketing teams, with a strong ability to coach, mentor, and drive results. You are a highly independent worker who can stay on top of your workload in a remote environment. You're strategic and hands-on — equally comfortable setting the vision and rolling up your sleeves to execute. You're data-curious — you use metrics to make decisions and tell stories that move people to act. You have a Can-Do attitude and thrive in fast-moving, mission-driven environments. Passion for sustainability, food, and technology — you love the Gardyn mission and want to help customers thrive. Why You’ll Love This Role:- We encourage unconventional thinking. We are paving the path for innovation in home-grown food and education. We are creating a movement bigger than ourselves that will positively enhance people’s lives.
