About the Role We’re looking for a hands-on, results-oriented Director of Marketing to lead and execute all facets of our marketing engine—from paid acquisition and lifecycle marketing to content, web, social, and retention. You’ll oversee a lean but high-performing in-house team and external partners, and work cross-functionally with Product, Education, Creative, and Sales to ensure that marketing drives revenue, impact, and engagement. This is not a “set strategy and delegate” role. You’ll be expected to own the marketing P&L, move quickly on insights, and roll up your sleeves to get campaigns out the door. This position is best suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and is ready to lead the charge on growth and performance. Key Responsibilities • Own and manage the marketing budget and P&L, with full accountability for CAC, LTV, conversion, and ROI across all channels • Lead a high-output team spanning paid media, social, lifecycle/email, content, and marketing operations; provide ongoing coaching and remove blockers • Build and manage integrated campaign calendars across paid, organic, email, and web • Translate top-level business goals into executable marketing plans, ensuring clear milestones, KPIs, and owners • Optimize performance marketing campaigns (Google, Meta, affiliate, etc.) in real-time — and drive channel testing and new growth experiments • Oversee lifecycle and retention efforts including email automation, segmentation, and customer journey mapping • Partner with Product and Creative teams on messaging, launches, and content planning to drive conversion and revenue • Use data and dashboards (HubSpot, GA, Power BI, etc.) to monitor performance and identify levers for improvement — no waiting around for a report • Shape and maintain consistent brand standards across all marketing and communication touchpoints • Ensure that the marketing tech stack (CRM, email platform, analytics tools, etc.) supports scalable, efficient operations • Act as a key thought partner to the CEO and leadership team in identifying new revenue opportunities, customer insights, and untapped channels What You Bring • 7+ years of full-funnel marketing experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role • Strong record of executing performance-driven marketing campaigns with measurable ROI • Deep fluency in marketing metrics and financials: CAC, LTV, ROAS, conversion rate, churn, etc. • Experience managing a subscription, eLearning, or high-ticket sales funnel preferred • Track record of leading small, agile teams and managing agency relationships • Strong command of marketing platforms (Google Ads, Meta, HubSpot, Looker, GA4, etc.) • Ability to thrive in fast-moving environments with shifting priorities and high accountability • A collaborative mindset, with a willingness to get into the weeds and work across departments and act as a mentor to the team. • Servant leader with clear communication skills and a bias toward action Nice to Have • Experience in wellness, coaching, education, or consumer health industries • Familiarity with Salesforce, CMS platforms, and light HTML/CSS • Copywriting or creative review capabilities • Prior experience scaling a brand through both direct response and organic content marketing Some of the benefits of working at IIN: • Unlimited paid vacation days, with additional sick days, & generous parental leave • 401K plan with employer contribution of up to 4% • Health benefit plan that includes health, dental, and vision • Free access to our educational offerings • A variety of seasonal health and wellness perks About IIN What started as a small classroom of passionate students in a live setting in 1992, IIN is now world-renowned for its flagship online Health Coach Training Program and other leading-edge educational offerings on the most current and important topics in health and wellness. Compensation: $150,000 base salary + performance-based incentives The range above is for the expectations as laid out in the job description, however we are often open to a wide variety of profiles, and recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than this job description as posted.
